Do you let your boys wear sandals or flip flops on a daily basis?

I seen this allot last summer. I%26#039;m kind of old school and prefer they wear socks and shoes even during the summer. Sandals and flip flops just don%26#039;t give an active boy the support and protection they need. My sons feet hardly even sweat when he wears his Jordans.

I agree with you that sandals and flip flops do not give the necessary support. I work at a child development center and we do not allow open-toed shoes or flip flops. We do a lot of outdoor high activity play and the children need shoes that they can run and climb it. If your children are doing the same kinds of activities then put tennis shoes on them. If they are going to the beach, or just doing light activities, let them wear the sandals...
Reply:My boys wouldn%26#039;t want to, but if they did, I would let them, it%26#039;s there feet and they know they can%26#039;t blame me if they were to get sick or there feet were to get trampled. My oldest daughters are going trough a phase where all they wear are flipflops and I told them that, and I would treat my sons in the same manner.
Reply:i agree. no sandals and flip flops on boys.
Reply:No my son wears stride-rite dress or casual shoes. Sandals offer no protection and are for the beach.

Reply:I agree
Reply:My son hates flip flops and sandals ! I couldn%26#039;t get him to wear them even if I wanted to I%26#039;m afraid . I guess it%26#039;s up to the kids really, what ever they%26#039;re comfortable in is fine with me :)
Reply:Why don%26#039;t u ask him if he wants to wear flip flops*
Reply:Um,,,but its o.k. for daughters?

I prefer to wear shoes, but if the kid is comfortable in them I dont see what the problem is. Not to go out to eat or somewhere like that, but Just going around the neighborhood?
